The affirmance that the one state solution, which was presented by Colonel Muammar El – Kaddafi, the 1st of September Revolution leader, to the world is the only decisive solution to the struggle in the Middle East.
That solution states, as it is well known, that a one democratic state is established, where Jews and Palestinian can live together. It also requires the return of all Palestinian refugees to such a state then a general election under the United Nations monitoring will take place, as it is happening in South Africa.
The acceptance of such solution is widening among who are close to the conflict from both sides. It also finds an increase interest from the writers, intellectuals and political activists wild world.
This is true while indication are being great about the impossibility of establishing two states between the see and the river in Palestine.
The popular coalition for direct democracy in Palestine has organized an international conference in May 2009, whose participant affirmed that the one state solution is the root deep exclusive solution that can take the conflict out of the circle of armed struggle and launching wars.
The former American president, Jimmy Carter has lately revealed quoting high authority Palestinian people that are studying the one state solution with all seriousness as a solution to for the Israeli Palestinian struggle.
Carter wrote in the Washington Post newspaper, after his trip to the region saying: “ Most of the Palestinian authority leaders, who I met were seriously studying the one state that extends from Jordan River to the Mediterranean.
He added that the Palestinians would be partners to the Israelis in the citizenship and would demand equality in the democratic frame..He was pointing out that this solution would be exactly the same one which was applied in South Africa.
Ahmed Kurai, the senior Palestinian negotiator did not exclude that Palestinians will demand to become a part of the one state of two nationalities along with the Israelis in the historical Palestinian land.
The Reuters news agency said on August 11th. 2009 that Kurai told members of Fateh Movement these facts during a closed meeting.
The agency poblished such news right after the meeting.
A Palestinian authority declared that Kurai told the meeting people that he thought the peace talks reached a crisis.
Reuters also said that the nor successful efforts to promote the goal of establishing a separate state are being discussed among Palestinians for many months now, including whether they must try an alternative to that like merging in one common state with the Israelis.
