Some Palestinians and Israelis activists have launched a new initiative to end the continued struggle between the two sides.
They suggested a one state of 300 provinces in Palestine represented in one parliament by 300 members.
The parliament would be half from the Israelis and another of the Palestinians. Decision would be passed only when receive majority of both sides.
The American Hurrah TV commented on July 23, 2008 about this initiative that a big number of Israeli and Palestinian personalities see that establishing one state and one parliament composed from the Israelis and the Palestinians is the practical solution to end the conflict in the Middle East.
The American TV informed that this initiative confirms that both sides are tired from the current situation and the impossibility of reaching the peace which stops the violence circle and the terrorism from both sides.
The TV channel, Al Hurrah, quoted an Israeli lawyer who is one of the Israelis activist that launched this initiative saying: “ The cal starts with the easiest thing which we start working together and manage things that has to do with daily life.
When the two peoples feel that life goes on normally, the interests are being met and the trust is being built, situation will change.
TV Al – Hurrah has also quoted the president of a Palestinian Association called the Association of Muslims against Terrorism saying:
” We see Palestinian suburbs that cross Jewish ones.
” He asked how can such suburbs be divided between two states ?
What would we do to settlements that have 300 to 400 thousand settlers?
What should we tell them? Do we take them out of their homes?

The most important is to establish one state where we have the same rights.
The American TV channel attributed to a member of the Israeli Intelligence Center his saying:
 “ We do not see a solution to all problems.
From my point of view, trying to do something is better, for both people, that doing nothing.
We must make life easier for people.
He asked: Why can not this idea a start for something bigger?
The TV channel then concluded that from the mentioned report there was an affirmation of Colonel Muamer Al – Gaddafi’s idea of establishing the Isratine … The TV channel said before that this idea was given by those people, Gaddafi had called for establishing “ Isratine “ as a one state for both peoples.
