It is obvious that among the consequences of such an option is forcing Israel to bear all its responsibilities as an occupying authority, but it should also be obvious that among the other consequences of such option will be the return of the severe occupation on the life of Palestinians in the occupied territories.
Among the consequences there will also be the disintegration of the Faction-Authority relations network, i.e. factions will be forced to face the challenges arising from the confrontation with the occupation policies on top of which rebuilding themselves (factions) to resume the different kinds of popular struggle against the colonial discriminative policies of Israel.
Regarding the different working types, the single bi-national state solution requires the concerned national powers to prepare their peoples to be ready for particular struggle forms, although this does not exclude the armed resistance (in some cases), but it shall totally exclude other phenomena such as bombing and rocket-raids because such operations contradict wholeheartedly with the target of co-existence in a single state.
Finally, as known the single state option cannot be applied in the near future, it needs suitable Israeli interactions and a long tiring Palestinian struggle, plus the availability of appropriate international and Arab frames.
Until that moment, and with regard to its arrogance and its being a Jewish state, Israel is then expected to tighten its repressive and discriminative policies against Palestinians, which means that there is a difficult and bitter transitional stage Palestinian people and their national movement are yet to face.
On this basis, the leadership is thus required not to raise the single state solution as a mere idea, maneuver or as a kind of threatening, the Palestinian leadership shall rather prepare itself and its people, in a serious and responsible manner, to face the requirements of the post-talks stage – this means the time has come to assign a new strategy for the Palestinian work. |
