Israeli and Palestinian activists have launched a new initiative to solve the standing conflict between the two parties through establishing a single state with 300 districts in Palestine with 300 member representation in a single parliament with equal shares where no draft resolution can be passed inside this parliament without the majority approval in the two sides. Regarding this, the American space channel Al Hurrah commented on July 23rd 2008 in a report it broadcasted about this initiative that a number of Israeli and Palestinian personalities believe that the establishment of a single state with a single parliament composed equally of Israelis and Palestinians is the practical solution to end the Middle East conflict.
The American space channel has within this context stated that this situation demonstrates that both parties are no longer able to stand the current statues quo and the inability to achieve the peace that is capable of ending the terror and violence between them.
The American channel has quoted an Israeli lawyer from the activist group who launched the initiative as saying:
the call begins with the easiest part by working together to manage the issues relevant to the daily life affairs, and as soon as the two peoples feel the life is progressing, the interests are being achieved and bridges of trust are being laid, the situation will for sure be changed then.
The channel has also quoted a head of a Palestinian association called “Muslims against terror” as saying: we see Palestinian parts cutting a single Jewish district, wondering how could these parts ever be divided into two separate states, and what will be the destiny of all the settlements that accommodate around 300 to 400 thousand settlers?
Will they be evacuated?
This is not a solution, let them stay and let us stay, but what is important is to establish a state inside of which all citizens enjoy equal rights.
Al Hurrah has in its report also quoted a member in an Israeli information center as saying: we do not anticipate a solution for all problems, and according to my own point of view we have to work on how to facilitate the living aspects for all citizens, wondering why couldn’t this be a beginning for something bigger?
The American channel has in its report also highlighted colonel Muammar Qaddafi’s emphasis regarding the establishment of Isratine State… the channel also stated that Colonel Qaddafi has preceded all those calling now for the single state and called before them all for the establishment of Isratine as a state for the two peoples.
