That is because the idea of “two States for two people” was understood differently in both the Palestinian and Jewish sides (including the Arabs of Israel). Jews understood that the solution will be in a state for the Palestinian people and another one for the Jewish people under Palestinian recognition of the Jews right over the Land of Israel as their historic Home.
On the other side, Palestinian understanding was different (to be accurate: they understood, but they refused to accept); for them (for them refers today to the secular side of the Palestinian society, represented by Fatah movement); for them the raised solution is a Palestinian state empty of any Jews, and an Israeli state that contains Jews and Palestinians who stayed here since the independence war, plus those who will come here within the framework of reuniting the families. Indeed, the intellectual progress achieved in the Israeli left has, since long ago, exceeded the idea of “two states for two people”, and it is now concentrating on what will happen according to its vision in the Israeli state.
This is supposed to establish a state that belongs to all its citizens, i.e. abandon the restricted Jewish nature (symbols, law of return, etc…) and abandon also its name – for Israel is a Jewish naming – and should therefore be transformed into a state where Jews are forming an ethnic group beside other ethnic groups such as Muslims, Christians and others.
This vision does not exist only before the Jewish extremist left in Israel, but it is also the vision of the Palestinians called “moderates” (HAMAS also does not accept this solution), and it is also the ideological vision of the political leadership of the Arabs of Israel whose representatives are Knesset members.
The culture of lying and misleading is continuing the deepening of its roots in the general dialogue, this is because the speech is no longer concentrating on the “two states”, but on three states that Gaza is a totally different political and religious entity from Fatah of Abu Mazen (who is also similar to the Arabs of Israel) does not recognize Israel as a national Home for the Jewish people.
Those who fear this vision shall know that this is what is being going on in the intellectual structure for the “two states for two people” the idea raised heavily in the political media but in a superficial way in an attempt to hide its horrifying content:
when they failed to liquidate Israel through military and terrorist means, they resorted to a more intelligent final solution by politically liquidate the Jewish state.
